Theresa MacKnight

Theresa Macknight was born in Saint John New Brunswick, Canada and currently resides in Saint Andrews, NB . where she works as an artist and educator.

She began her formal art training at Mount Allison University and then Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.

Although she considers herself a mixed-media artist, for the past several years MacKnight has been working in encaustics which is an ancient technique using beeswax as the primary ingredient.

Macknight is also a believer in the benefits of working directly from life. She is an active plein air painter and also sharpens her skills through observation of the figure.
