Best known for her bold colors and her exclusive use of the painting knife.

As a self taught artist, discovering the painting knife was pivotal to the growth of her work. With the simple act of mixing paint with her knife a creative process was unleashed and the artist within was freed. Recently Rene discovered “finger painting”. She is very comfortable combining both techniques in her work.

Rene has attracted widespread international attention to her artistry. She has exhibited her work in galleries across Canada and has been the recipient of several awards for her work .

She and her husband, Stan presently resides in Saint John, N. B.
