Karen Daigle is an artist specializing in capturing the beauty of nature and everyday objects in a modern impressionistic style. Composition design and colour harmony are the foundation for her paintings as Karen uses her knowledge she has gained designing and illustrating professionally for over 20 years.
"I find beauty in flowers, fruits and the structure of everyday objects. I focus on painting the light, tones, colour and edges. I always paint from life. For me, it's about reproducing the reality that inspires me without duplicating the set up exactly as seen. I love loose, bold brushstrokes and quite often work with a palette knife to build texture in the paint. Creating movement with design and an atmosphere you can feel is my goal in every painting."
Her works can be found in private collections worldwide. She has been published in international art magazines and has a following of over 40k on Instagram. She is currently represented by Summer and Grace Gallery in Oakville, Ontario and now showing at Argyle Fine Art in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
