Helen Spinney
Helen Spinney’s early years on Sable Island and Cape Breton Island set the tone for her continued love of the ocean, a dominant theme of her works. Her oil paintings are her ‘impressions of realism’, blending her vision of life with an artistic sense of interpretation. Like her seascapes, her unique abstract paintings exhibit a power that is moody and mysterious. Following a 40 year career in Nursing, Helen lives in Moncton with her husband Alan, also an oil painter.
