Gena Denning

Gena Denning is a graduate of the Fine Craft Ceramics diploma program at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She spent the year after graduation on Prince Edward Island working full time in a production studio perfecting her craft. She was then involved with a pottery co-op located in downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Gena draws inspiration from the intricate patterned surfaces of textiles and knitwear. Whether it is wheel thrown or hand built, she delicately carves her patterns by hand into each form. Gena values functionality above all else when creating her contemporary yet comfortable stoneware.
