Clare Bridge

My jewelry is inspired by the intrinsic forms, textures, and colours found in New Brunswick’s and Nova Scotia’s palettes, allowing me to envision their organic findings adorning one’s neck, ears, finger, or wrist, creating unique wearable art. Inherent too, in my designs, are elements echoing Inuit culture. The results are organic and one-of-a-kind, reflecting the interconnection between land and sea.
Working in sterling silver, gold, and other diverse metals, my hand-forging creates uniquely grained surface textures, often adorned with enamel and casted metal embellishments. The oxidation process, the final step, warms the fine metals’ tones, enhancing the hammers’ hallmarks. Every creation that leaves my studio, embodies a narrative all its own.

“The sculptural and organic quality of each piece gives a true sense of the hands of the maker. The unique and sometimes hidden details of each piece are a lovely surprise and certainly contribute to a signature style.”
