Andrew Ross Nashwaak Bridge, NB

I began working with wood in the 90's and it has been nothing short but amazing. I love the forest and each piece represents hours of work that goes by quickly, a day in the woods or the shop is meditation for me. I create my sculptures on a custom-built lathe in my studio, and most pieces take several years to complete. Each piece is numbered and has a story of it's creation.

Many of my pieces have made their way to homes and places far and wide. All of the wood used is native to New Brunswick, including black cherry, birdseye maple, broad leaf maple, curly oak and birch. They are finished with either a tongue oil or antique oil which is buffed into the wood with several applications.
