Monique Bujold Brown
Monique is a self-taught potter from Charlo, NB. She is also a registered nurse who retired from the profession in 2018.
Her undertakings in ceramics started in 1992, in Australia’s Outback, in a small ceramic community where she’d followed her husband who was on a teacher exchange. From that first exposure to pottery, she’s pursued a variety of ceramics training courses, among them workshops in Australia, the USA, the Netherlands, Brazil, China and Canada. She’s had solo and group exhibits in Australia, Belgium and New Brunswick.
Her preferred ceramic method is western raku where she fires her pieces in a gas kiln that she built. She also makes functional stoneware pieces fired in an electric kiln. Her studio is in her home.
