Maurice Gamblin
Maurice fell in love with wood turning at the age of 40 and is now an accomplished artist, teaching others how to enjoy the gift of turning wood. His work is been taken all over the world and students have come to him for many countries.
He draws much of his inspiration from nature itself as did ancient civilizations. The unique cherry, maple, Birch and Cedar burls lend themselves well to Maurice’s creative instincts. His love of wood is reflected in the way he uses the natural color and grainn structure to bring out the spirit hidden in each burl. The clean classic lines of his vases and bowls let the natural beauty of the woods speak for itself. Maurice lives in Bairdsville, New Brunswick.
