Libby Shackleton

Libby Shackleton was born in Northern Ontario and educated in Toronto. She began studying art in 1974 with Suzanne Hill. In 1975, she moved to Fredericton where she studied with Pat Badani and Brigid Toole Grant at the University of New Brunswick Extension Courses. She was also able to study for three years under Molly Lamb Bobak at the summer workshops held at Sunbury Shores in St Andrews, NB as well as at various workshops offered through the Craft College in Fredericton. A recipient of the Canada 125 Medal, she now lives and works in the Village of Gagetown, NB. Libby has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout New Brunswick as well as Ontario. Her work can be found at the Canada Council Art Bank, New Brunswick Art Bank, University of New Brunswick (Fredericton), Saint John Regional Hospital (Palliative Care Unit), and Saint John Regional Library (Barbara Ring Memorial Collection).
