Dale Murray - Luthier
My interest in woodworking began in earnest in 2001 when I took a cedar strip canoe building course at Wooden Boat School in Maine. I have always had an interest in playing the guitar. After retirement in 2015, I decided that I wanted to learn to build musical instruments. I became a certified luthier in 2017, training at Custom Vibrations in Lexington South Carolina. In 2019 I studied inlay with Custom Pearl Inlay in upstate New York. My repertoire includes ukulele, mandolin, steel string guitar, carved arch top guitar, classical guitar and electric guitar. Each instrument is handmade in my workshop on Grand Lake New Brunswick. I do commissions as well as instrument repair and restoration.
