Alison Gayton

Hampton is home, meow. Alison has been making in clay since 1997, at the dear, dear NBCCD. UNBSJ as well, but her education in clay, kiln building, and wood firing has spun her around the Northern Hemisphere a few times. She makes practical pottery that is cute and ominous at once. Working mostly in porcelain, she hand paints each piece, and may even add gold! Her works have been exhibited across the maritime and beyond, especially at the Saint John Arts Centre, where she teaches and takes classes. She hopes to collide more stone and clay sculpture about climate change and societal trends.
