Alan Spinney

Alan Spinney’s days of fast deadline marker renderings, and 35 years of video production, art direction and graphic design combine to influence his painting style. Bold colour saturation, strong contrasting shapes and confident compositional elements all come together to inspire his oils. “Oil painting is such a beautiful experience. It allows me time to think about my images, to craft them with as much subtlety as they call out for.” Now retired, Alan lives in Moncton, with his wife Helen, also an oil painter.
